March 30

The state of Wisconsin has issued an order for all non-essential workers to stay at home in order to try to contain the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. Therefore, the US office of the Royal Academy of Dance is currently closed.

Staff will be working from home and will endeavor to respond to emails promptly. We will be checking phone messages daily and postal mail once a week. Please feel free to call and leave a message if you to have any questions or need assistance and we will return your call as soon as possible.

March 18

Due to the escalation of Covid-19 around the world, the RAD has taken a number of actions in order to best protect its staff, students, teachers, parents and examiners. It is with a heavy heart that we have had to postpone or suspend activities, but protecting our wider community is our primary concern:

  • RAD has suspended all examiner travel from Tuesday, March 17, which means that worldwide exams will also be suspended from this week until April 30, 2020. We will postpone and re-organize all exams where possible. We are also looking at other digital solutions. Everyone immediately affected is being contacted via email.
  • The RAD is currently looking at ways in which we can provide support to those in our community who need to self-isolate.
  • At this time, the US National Office remains staffed. However, this is under review pending the issue of mandates by the local government.

The following resources are available for additional information on COVID-19: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.

We are monitoring the situation day-by-day as it evolves and will continue to share updates in these unprecedented times.
