Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the process of continually updating and improving your knowledge and skills throughout your professional life. Typically it takes place through some form of training or learning activity, and is standard practice for members of professional organizations.

The RAD is committed to producing the best teachers in the world. Through our CPD scheme, we are able to evidence that our teachers are at the forefront of dance education and training, and that they have the most up-to-date knowledge and skills. The CPD program also gives teachers the chance to take an active role in their career development.

While anyone can take part in our CPD activities, it is mandatory for teachers registered with the RAD, including teachers recognized by mutual agreement, to fulfill their annual CPD requirement.
