Mapping Dance and Dance Teaching: Past(s), Present and Future(s) Conference Program Announced

Hosted by the Royal Academy of Dance’s Faculty of Education, the international online conference, Mapping Dance and Dance Teaching: Past(s), Present and Future(s), will bring together practitioners, teachers, educators and researchers to debate and interrogate the past, present and future of dance and teaching.

We are thrilled to announce the full conference program, to be held online on 3 + 4 September 2021 and invite you to join us to engage and reflect throughout the rich range of panel discussions and practical workshops. See the full program.

Dr Michelle Groves, Director of Education comments “We are thrilled to launch our online conference for 2021. The conference program forms an incredibly rich event, which will delve into topics such as inclusive practice, wellbeing, pedagogy and technology, to name just a few. I am delighted that we will be joined by Deborah MacMillan and Mike Fleming; both keynote speakers will bring their significant experience of dance, dance teaching, and arts education, ahead of discussing, debating and contemplating potentialities for the dance teaching industry.”

The 2021 conference has been reimagined to be delivered online so that attendees can join us from anywhere in the world. To deliver the conference we are partnering with Forumm, a virtual event platform that will encapsulate all of the look and feel of an in-person conference, and bring delegates and presenters together through the use of chat functions and online networking rooms.

One-day and two-day tickets are now available. Book now.
